What level of Spanish do I need?
The first group is planned for intermediate adult learners (B1–B2). You should be able to share an opinion and follow a conversation in Spanish, even if you need help finding words. Not sure about your level? Choose ‘Not sure yet’ on the form and Mauren can help you decide whether the group is a good fit.
Do I have to read the whole book before we start?
We’ll divide a short book into manageable weekly readings. Read the assigned chapters before each meeting, then bring your thoughts, questions, and opinions. You’ll receive the reading schedule before the first session.
When will the meetings take place?
The first book, start date, and four meeting dates are still being planned. Share your time zone and availability so Mauren can find a schedule that works for the first group. You’ll receive the details before deciding whether to enroll.
What does the US$55 monthly price include?
Four live, 90-minute Zoom meetings guided by Mauren, plus a reading schedule, discussion questions, and vocabulary support. Each group will have five or six participants. The book is purchased separately; the title and access options will be shared before enrollment.
Does joining the list reserve a place or charge me?
Joining the interest list is free and has no payment or membership commitment. It does not reserve a place in the group. Mauren will email you the details when they’re ready, and you can decide whether to join. The pilot will open when at least five people have confirmed their enrollment.
How will my information be used?
Mauren will use your name, email, level, and any availability you share to organize the group and contact you about this book club. Your information is not displayed publicly. You can reply to a book-club email to ask for your details to be removed from the list.
